Kathy processing cicadas

Kathy Hill processes cicadas at Chaco National Park. Some cicadas are in cages so that their individual song can be recorded using the microphone and parabola on the table. Legs are removed from some cicadas and placed into alcohol to preserve DNA. The cicada bodies are then pinned for morphological identification.
