Blütentragende Stengel schaftartig, blattlos oder mit 1 bis wenigen kleinen Blättchen besetzt, die von den Grundb. stark verschieden sind. - Hierher: V. ovata Vent., am Cap sehr verbreitet, V. reniformis R.Br. in Australien und Tasmanien überall vertreten; V. parnassiifolia R.Br., V. violifolia F.Muell., V. lasiosperma F.Muell., V. albiflora F.Muell. auf Westaustralien beschränkt.

Inflorescence axis beam-like, leafless or with one to few small bracts, which are strongly different from the basal leaves. - Includes: V. ovata Vent., very common at the Cape [of Good Hope, South Africa], V. reniformis R.Br., represented throughout Australia and Tasmania; V. parnassiifolia R.Br., V. violifolia F.Muell., V. lasiosperma F.Muell., V. albiflora F.Muell., limited to Western Australia.
