Cal. Perianthium monophyllum, quinquepartitum, erectum, persistens.
Cor. Petalum unicum. Tubus cylindraceo-infundibuliformis, brevis. Limbus ultra medium quinquefidus: laciniis reflexo-patentibus, obtusis, hirsutie notatis.
Stam. Filamenta quinque, subulata, brevia. Antherae acutae, basi bifidae, erectae.
Pist. Germen conicum. Stylus cylindraceus, longitudine ferme corollae. Stigma bifidum, compressum.
Per. Capsula ovata, calyce cincta, unilocularis.
Sem. plurima, ovata, exigua.
Calyx. Perianth of one leaf, five-parted, erect, persistent.
Corolla. Single petal. Tube cylindraceous-funnelform, short. Lobe five-parted to the midpoint: fringes reflexed-open, obtuse, hirsute.
Stamen. Filaments five, awl-shaped, short. Anthers acute, bifid at the base, erect.
Pistil. Ovary conical. Style cylindrical, length about equal to the corolla. Stigma bifid, compressed
Per. Capsule ovate, surrounded by the calyx, unilocular.
Seeds many, ovate, scant.
