Herba aquatica. Caulis gracilis. Folia orbicularia, integra vel irregulariter sinuata, basi cordata, coriacea, 1-2 cm. lata; petiolum 1-6 cm. longum. Umbellae axillares, irregulares, pauciflorae; pedicelli floriferi, graciles, 2-5 cm. longi; flores flavi?, 1 cm. longi. Sepala 5; calycis tubus subnullus; lobi oblongi acuti, marginibus hyalinis, 5-6 mm. longi. Petala 5; corollae tubus quam calyx longior; lobi ovati, apice acuti, marginibus?... [sic] Stamina 5, sessilia, paulo infra faucem inserta; antherae angustae. Nectaria hypogyna 5, minima, laciniata. Ovarium ovoideum, 2.5 mm. longum; stylus brevissimus; stigma bilamellosum laciniatum. Capsula 6-7 mm. longa, 2-3 mm. lata. Semina 6-12, globosa, tegumento leviter puerulento.

Aquatic herb. Stem slender. Leaves orbicular, entire or irregularly sinuate, the base cordate, fleshy, 1-2 cm broad. Petiole 1-6 cm long. Umbels axillary, irregular, few-flowered. Flower-bearing pedicels slender, 2-5 cm long. Flowers yellow?, 1 cm long. Sepals 5. Calyx tube subnull. Lobes oblong, acute, with a hyaline margin, 5-6 mm long. Petals 5. Corolla tube longer than calyx. Lobes ovate, acute at the apex, margins? ... Stamens 5, sessile, inserted a little within the throat. Anthers narrow. Nectaries hypogynous, 5, minimal, laciniate. Ovary ovoid, 2.5 mm long. Style very short. Stigma two-lobed, laciniate. Capsule 6-7 mm long, 2-3 mm broad. Seeds 6-12, globose, tegument smoothly puberulent.

Obs - Cette espece est assez voisine du L. parvifolium Griseb., dont elle se rapproche surtout par la forme des feuilles, la capsule et les graines. Elle s'en eloigne par la longueur de petioles et des pedicelles floraux. Elle se rapproche aussi du L. hydrophyllum Griseb., dont elle se distingue surtout par les feuilles coriaces, la capsule allongee et les graines finement puberulentes. Il est bon de remarquer que l'etude de la corolle des echantillons secs de Limnanthemum est tres difficile sinon impossible.

Obs - This species is rather close to L. parvifolium Griseb., which it approaches especially by the form of the leaves, capsule and seeds. It differs by the length of petioles and floral pedicels. It also approaches L. hydrophyllum Griseb., from which it is distinguished especially by the leathery leaves, the elongated capsule, and the finely puberulent seeds. It worth remarking that the study of the corolla of dry samples of Limnanthemum is very difficult if not impossible.

Co thuysinh; than manh co nhieu long dai. La co phien noi, hinh tim, nho, dai 1-2 cm, dai, nhamnham mat duoi; cuong dai 1-6 cm. Chum o nach la; lahoa nhon, 1 cm; ladai 5, dinh nhau o day; vanh hinh chuong, ong dai bang hay hon dai; tieunhuy 5, khong chi, gan o mieng ong; noansao cao 2.5 mm. Nang cao 6-7 mm; hot 6-12.
