Herba aquatica. Caulis filiformis. Folia saepius hastata, rarius orbicularia et cordata, integra vel sinuata vel dentata, membranacea, rubro-nigra, maxima 2.5 cm. longa, 1 cm. lata; petiolum variabile. Umbellae axillares, pauciflorae; pedicelli graciles, maximi 5-6 cm. longi; flores flavi (Harmand). Sepala 5; calycis tubus subnullus; lobi oblongi acuti 7 mm. longi. Corolla? hirsuta ad faucem (Harmand). Nectaria 5, minima. Capsula ovoidea 6-7 mm. longa; stylus persistens, 1-2 mm. longus. Semina numerosa, lenticularia crassa, 1 mm. lata, tegumento glabro sed leviter punctato.

Aquatic herb. Stems filiform. Leaves quite often hastate, rarely orbicular and cordate, entire or sinuate or dentate, membranaceous, red-black, maximum 2.5 cm long, 1 cm broad; petiole variable. Umbels axillary, few-flowered; pedicels slender, maximum 5-6 cm long; flowers yellow (Harmand). Sepals 5; calyx tube subnull; lobes oblong, acute, 7 mm long. Corolla? hairy at the throat (Harmand). Nectaries 5, minimal. Capsule ovoid, 6-7 mm long; style persistent, 1-2 mm long. Seeds numerous, lenticular, thick, 1 mm across, with a glabrous tegument but smoothly punctate.

Espece insuffisamment connue. Par ses feuilles et ses graines elle s'eloigne du L. tonkinense et du L. parvifolium; elle se rapprocherait au contraire, au moins par ses graines, des L. Forbesianum Griseb. et L. aurantiacum Dalzell

A species insufficiently known. From the leaves and seeds approaches L. tonkinense and L. parvifolium. On the other hand resembles L. Forbesianum Griseb. and L. aurantiacum Dalzell from the small seeds.
