- EEB 280/380: Evolution of Green Plants
- An introduction to the phylogeny and evolution of green plants, emphasizing
the evolution of morphological and physiological traits of adaptive significance.
Taught during the Spring semester of even years (except for 2006) by Drs. Lewis and Goffinet.
- EEB 290L: Biology of the Algae
- An introduction to the fascinating (and beautiful!) world of algae, which you will discover are much more than simple pond scum. A 4-credit course that will next be taught in Fall 2006 by Dr. Lewis.
- EEB 396/MCB 371: Protist Evolution and the Origin of Eukaryotes
- This 1 credit seminar is co-listed as EEB 396 and MCB 396, and is led by Lewis (EEB) and Dr. J. Peter Gogarten (MCB)
in Spring semester, every 2-3 years. Please let either Dr. Lewis or Dr. Gogarten know if you are interested.
- EEB 469/MCB 394: Seminar in Symbiosis
- This 1 credit seminar is co-listed in EEB and MCB, and is led by Dr. Lewis (EEB) and Dr. Graf (MCB). It is being offered Fall 2005.
- Biology 108: Principles of Biology II
- Introductory Biology for undergraduate students intending to
have a biological sciences major. Topics covered include plant anatomy, photosynthesis,
mitosis, meiosis, mendelian genetics, population genetics, plant and animal diversity,
and ecology. Next taught by Dr. Lewis in Spring 2007.
