Research in our lab is
aimed at documenting patterns of phenotypic variation and
understanding how environmental and developmental factors
interact to create these patterns. We use a diversity of
approaches, including comparative phylogenetics,
molecular systematics, and developmental studies of gene
expression and function. These studies include a wide
variety of animals, including insects such as mayflies,
beetles and others, as well as vertebrates, such as
salamanders and skinks.
