EEBedia uses the same software that runs [Wikipedia], so that means it is easy to contribute information. Here are some basic instructions, but much a more in depth tutorial is available at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents.

Uploading files (e.g. images)

You can upload an image file at Special:Upload. Please refrain from uploading an image that is excessively large. If you click the image of Pediastrum duplex at right, you are shown its actual size (about 60kb).

This is a reasonable size. For an example of an image that is unreasonably large, click on the photo of the slime mold at left. Note how the expanded image is too large to be useful. Use Photoshop or another image processing program (e.g. Gimp, which is free) to resize the image before uploading it to EEBedia.
