EEB 4252 - Field Entomology

Summer Session II 2014

Course Description

This class covers the diversity of collecting methods necessary to assess insect biodiversity. Students will spend extensive time in the field collecting insects and observing their ecology and behavior. Identification and taxonomy of insects, in addition to insect collection curation is emphasized.

Course Procedures and Policies

Academic Integrity:
Plagiarism and cheating are violations of the student conduct code, and may be punished by failure in the course or, in severe cases, dismissal from the University. For more information, see Appendix A of the Student Conduct Code.
If you have a disability for which you may be requesting an accommodation, you should contact a course instructor and the Center for Students with Disabilities (Wilbur Cross Building, Room 201) within the first two weeks of the semester.
This summer session is only 5 weeks long. As a result, you are expected to be in attendance for every lecture and field trip scheduled during class time. In the case of illness or an emergency you are expected to contact the Professor before missing classes.

2- Field notebook, it should be bound such as a composition book or the "Write in the Rain" notebooks
