[edit] What We're About

ARE YOU A BIOLOGY STUDENT INTERESTED IN GREAT OPPORTUNITIES?

Welcome to the FIRST Biology Club on the Uconn Storrs Campus!!! This club will provide an opportunity for students interested in Biologiy to be immersed in a environment that can help them on campus. It will also offer an enriching social and academic atmosphere for students.

Whether you are a MCB,PNB, EEB, or Biological Sciences major, this club will present great ways of interacting with professors, graduate students, and other undergraduates, to get advice, promote awareness on research opportunities, and explore current issues in the biology field. Club events will include field trips, movie screenings, professors lecturing about their research, and many other interesting biological activities. This club will connect you with biology professors in a way that no other can and we enable you many different ways to get involved in research here at UConn.

This club also offers vast opportunities for experience to pre-medicine and other students entering the health professions to learn more about biology and is also open to any non-majors who are just interested in biology.

We are looking forward to making this is a successful and educational club to all Biology students on campus!

SEE YOU ALL THERE!!!

[edit] Resources

  • Make sure to check out the Biological_Sciences - Biological Sciences Majors Advising Website on HuskyCT. If you are a biology major, this should show up on your account. On the site, there is links to information about internships, new biology courses, and different events related to biology happening around campus.
  • You are required to meet with your advisor at least once every semester, but it cannot hurt to meet with them more than that if you have any questions about your major and your career choice.

Here's the link to the advising website: [1]

  • If you have any questions about your major, you can also go to the CLAS Academic Services Center @ 423 Whitney Road across from the Dodd Center. They are open from 8 AM - 4:30 PM Mon-Fri.
